The room was “damp “ and the air conditioner was so loud . The sheets where wet /damp and the room smelled of mold . They sent us maintenance and told us to keep the room at 63–64 … we froze it was so cold and smelled even worse . We changed rooms which was better no mold smell but we still had the same problem with the damp room wet sheets and soooo cold at night with the air conditioning right at your face . Did not sleep well at all for 2 night .

Beautiful boutique European hotel with steam showers and attentive staff

Amazing property. Exceeded high expectations. Staff very accommodating.

I had a really lovely stay at the Cross Foxes. The room was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. I got some useful advice for one of my walks and enjoyed spectacular views as a result. The food in the restaurant was fantastic.

Clean and spacious room. Frig with freezer, microwave. Pool not available and no elevator but those were minor inconveniences. Great staff, beautiful view, plenty of parking.

We did not have breakfast. They gave us a bag lunch to take with us when we left for our flight in the morning bag. Lunch was terrible. We believed that there was an airport shuttle. Their shuttle does not run until 9 AM. They have a sign on their desk that says they have a shuttle to take you downtown. In the middle of the afternoon they told us that the shuttle was not available. You are quite a distance from any place else to eat. There is nothing within the area to walk to. So you have to take a cab. Going to the airport was expensive and going for pizza was expensive.

Rooms are clean and the bed is comfy. Check in and check out was east and the staff were pleasant

Just had the most lovely 2 night stay at The Aysgarth Falls Hotel to celebrate a birthday. The location, room, food and staff were all amazing. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. From the moment we walked in the staff were welcoming friendly and couldn’t do enough to help they are an absolute credit to the running of the hotel. The room was spacious, lovely, clean and had everything needed with a roll top bath. The food on the evening was delicious and breakfast didn’t disappoint with plenty of options. Located a short walk from Aysgarth Falls and Cauldron Falls the hotel is in prime location and a 20 minute drive from Hawes, a lovely village. We will definitely return and stay in 1 of the newly built Hillside lodges.

We arrived in Cherbourg by sailboat, but the journey had been rough and we were feeling cold wet and tired, and wanted a nearby place to recuperate, rather than sleep on our boat in the cold weather. This place was ideal. We had good wash and sleep, and was refreshed for our onward sailing journey.
